This cozy and comfortable two bedroom apartment is located in the heart of Amsterdam. The area is perfect for visiting the nearby flower market, and is within easy walking distance of Dam Square in one direction and the Leidseplein in the other. The apartment is in a 17th Century building on a narrow alleyway.
The immediate area offers a diverse variety of boutiques, restaurants and speciality stores.
The apartment is arranged over three floors (first, second and third) and, as is traditional to this type of Dutch townhouse, has very steep stairs to all levels. It features a combined open plan kitchen and dining room, living room, two bedrooms and a shower room. Free high speed internet is provided.
On entering the apartment at ground floor level you immediately take the stairs to the first floor. On this floor is the large and bright kitchen. The kitchen is fully fitted with granite worktops and a traditional tiled floor and has a large range type oven, gas hob, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, and all the cutlery, utensils tableware you will need for your stay.
Open plan to the kitchen is the dining area which has a wooden kitchen table and five chairs which is lit by a chandelier.
On the second floor the living room has large windows and the original floor tiles and with the addition of a warming rug makes it a very comfortable room in which to relax. The living room has a large comfortable sofa, an easy chair, a writing desk and chair, coffee tables and a reading lamp. There is a television, DV & CD player and a radio.
Also on this floor is the shower room which is modern and fully tiled with a shower, W.C. hand basin and mirror.
On the third floor are the bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed and bedside tables and the second bedroom has two single beds. For extra guests there are two single beds provided in the living room.
Due to the narrow and steep nature of the stairs in this apartment we do not recommend that it is suitable for babies or young children, or large suitcases!

"Neli, the greeter was very helpful & considerate. She carried all FOUR of our cases up those terribly steep stairs!! she must have muscles like Popeye! lol The TV didn't work when we arrived & she took the remote control to buy new batteries. Dutch Charm is ideally situated. Right on top of all amenities & right in the middle between Dam & Leidsplein Squares. We ate at both areas, a chinese in Dam square (I don't remember the name) - not the best we've had, but OK when you are hungry. The American restaurant in Leidsplein square was very good."

"The meeting and greeting was great. Neli ouir greet was absolutly lovely and very helpful. It was also great to have the opportunity to meet the Landlord on arrival. He was extremely friendly, he showed us around the apartment, told us lots about the city and local area and even cracked some jokes with us. It was like arriving at a friends house, not a complete strangers. All of us have been so extremely impressed; we will be recommending and using Lovingamsterdam.com for many years ahead."

"We had a fab time and considering coming back in february 09, dutch charm was lovely, clean and very confortable, although the stairs slightly difficult when you have had a few to drink but it just made it all the more funny although we understand that most stairs within amsterdam are like this because the accomodation is slow slim and close together, but please pass on our thanks to the owners. We would definately recommend this place to our other friends"

"The stairs were a novelty in that they were so steep and would be tricky for the less adventurous. The apartment was very comfortable and very close to the centre of everything. The greeter was very helpful giving us advice on where to go and we had a great time in Amsterdam. Thank you very much!
